My favorite thing on my website is my home page aprilmariemai.com where there is a randomly picked selection of artwork that you can shop from. I love seeing the different collections that happen and how the different pieces interact. Here’s one product medley. Social Media Links
I’ve added URLs back into my social media posts because you shouldn’t have to sort through everything to find what I’ve posted. Social media dings me for that and limits the reach of posts with URLs in them, so please consider sharing, liking, and commenting more so my work can still get out there!
Thank you!

Unintentional Exclusion is Still Exclusion
We don’t usually see the hurdles we’ve put up that aren’t hurdles to us. Arts and other types of organizations are often selecting for things they aren’t intending to, and in the process losing access to applicants that could be a great fit.

5 out of 5 Stars
I’m blind, and this is the coolest, most sustainable, most accessible business card ever. No paper. No print or much-despised QR codes to fight with. No helping folks try to spell my weird last name when they ask how to find me online. I can pack light because it’s always with me. Plus, it’s gorgeous, and I get to support another disabled artist besides, especially anytime someone asks where I got my super cool business card. I also purchased crescent moon keychains for myself, my sister and her fiancé, and we love them.

5 Reasons Not to Seek an Adult Autism Diagnosis
There are many adults realizing they have had Autism all along, and thinking about getting a diagnosis. I am diagnosed. For me the pros outweighed the cons. But it’s important that you know the cons as you’re deciding whether or not to get an Autism Assessment.
Don’t make ANY decisions based on this information. Talk with your doctor and lawyer to figure out what is best for you.

Disabled
Disabled is not a bad word.
Disability is neutral; it’s not bad or good, it’s just a part of life. It’s not a choice. Treating it as if it is shameful or bad is ableism.
The problem is that disabled people are not included in society. We’re not included in plans for spaces or communities. We’re not included in having our basic needs met and our voices heard.
I Make and Share
I make art and I share in little doses. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful. I educate on my experiences and knowledge with Autism, etc.
